It's the nature of a successful democratic politician to flip-flop and be ambiguous. Valiant, determined leaders are either dictators or failures. And before you point me with a gun, I'm not supporting dictatorships; at least not most in most circumstances. It's just that it'd be impossible in democracy to get more than 5% of the people out of a several million citizen country supporting all of a single person's ideas when they are clear and meaningful. 99 out of 100 people who say they fully agree with a politician are either too stupid to think for themselves, or lying.

My bet is: John Kerry wins with just x% more than Bush, 0 &lt; x &lt; 1, and they take ages to count all votes because it's so close.

Actually, it's probably going to be Bush. It's close, but event he heavily democratic MD is only learning Kerry. That's bad news for Kerry.

I have information that most surveys are somewhat boosted in Bush's favor; I'd substract a 2-5% from the average. Of course I'm not experienced in USA politics so I might be wrong in my prediction.
